Seattle Dharma Refuge is led by Rev. Master Basil Singer, a contemplative monk in the Serene Reflection (Soto Zen) tradition. He was ordained by Rev. Master Jiyu Kennett in 1993, transmitted by Rev. Master Koshin Schomberg in 1999, and named a Master in 2003.
In 2011 Rev. Master Basil moved to Seattle in order to offer to others the Heart of Buddhism as transmitted to him. He would like to make this meditative practice available to all who wish to do it.
